three days on the hope train

we need a good no hope clause for the future. there aren't enough are too many things here things there always things things things we survive get by pay bills draw pennies together in little circles and let ourselves go to waste. tired sick sloping standards of life and we can only think of how we wnated it to be. we can only think of how beautiful we meant for things to turn out end up be all accounted for at the end. now we're all our own accountants our own seamstresses miythmakers telling aesop fables to children we can't afford and talking to friends about how life let us down. we were chosen to be shit on we think we say we tell everyone everything nothing at all ever we keep our mouths shut eyes closed to what may have really happened or been the case.

it's easier for hope to be lost than to think it might be faulted by ourselves our own offspring our own flesh and blood dreams on dreams and locked in little crystal closets no one has the starry eyes anymore no one has the mysterious glances open doors open thoughts open minds the rest is history the rest is an age old story told by grandmothers and passed down passed down passed down we need new solutions hope isn't working dreamsaren't working. give us a dose of reality we can climb back aboard hope later if it doesn't work.
