losing your virginity will make a ghost of you

who do they call it "losing your virginity"? where was it lost to? i am pretty sure we can all pinpoint the place we "lost" it. so, how is it lost? we know right where it is. it is right where we wanted it. i prefer to call it "put down and walked away from". that's closer to the truth. of course, maybe the truth is not what we're after.
