earth and seed songs

so wet got hot and
you're not sure what
comes next or what
should be coming along
soon, but probably
isn't and you know
that too

along with all the other wasted ways

and then, along the way
wet got hot and you're
now certain of everything
but unhappy about all of it
and doesn't that strike you
as an unpleasant way of
living?

but you'll do it anyway.

and that's fine, because
soon enough, wet will
get hot and you'll be
back burned arms to
the stove calling out
to the sky until finally
you realize
that every hour is your
sky and you
are the dew that touches
earth and seed
and it's good enough
just to be there.
