every answer (can be found in the way lloyd dobbler holds a boombox)

there's a collosol silence covering everything in the world, now. has been all day. like the murkiness of the sky has taken over all of existence and we are left gasping (quiet) barred teeth to succumb.

so i drove the long drive, and passed accident after accident, people weeping (silently) next to overturned cars. people staring (silently) at smoke rising from a camry where it (dumb)struck a telephone poll. the world, is waiting and i can tell, for something, anything, now.

and all i could think about was lloyd dobbler's face, boombox above his head, hoping waiting, for someone to listen.

maybe all we need to break this silence creeping into our bones is to stand, weightless in the middle of the road, listing to peter gabriel and know that soon (we'll be) floating at 10,000 feet only waves beneath us.
