across and through
the tips of your hair
and smiles that
stretch five counties

certainly you're
amazing like that.

so it's softness
and a touch of curls
(scarlet begonias?)
and it shines
like stars.

or is it secrets
about your hair?
is it to be
a mystery
while your hair
just spreads out
like that
and i lose all
sense of time
lose all track
of where i am
and who i am
becomes just
one more question
in the mist.
