sad as sandcastles (for s-)

lonely, she tries on a new dress that no one will see except the people she works with and none of them will notice but she buys it anyway and wears in the next day and no one does notice but when she goes home she catches her profile in the mirror and smiles. Some things are better if you like them than if others do.
Still, her loneliness is made of ashes from the days when she had friends when she didn�t drink so much or cry too much and laughed a whole lot but she makes it through one more day it passes her by but she makes it through and where�ll you be when she notices it�s you that isn�t noticing?
Her life has become one long sigh. She is as sad as sand castles in the middle of winter.
But I remember when she shined.
