soul collectors

these days, no one is what they seem. it's not that people are just more than they seem, which would be fine, it is that they are so often the opposite of what they seem. the opposite of how they behave or what they say. knowing people these days is like a trap door you walk onto thinking it is a regular floor. when you are least expecting it the floor drops and you realize you are in the dark and the person who put you there is wandering off to find someone else to lead onto the trap door.
