texas rain

after morning shafts of light and easy erections and blankets and sleeping the wrong way on the bed i stepped outside and pulled open car doors and made uturns and right turns until the highway. the rain came over everything like a wall and the streets were flooded and cars were stalling everywhere.

two hours later, you could barely tell it had rained.
