i once loved someone, etc

And, as people say:
�we have the urge to merge�
which is a traffic word, but we use it
anyway, like we always do,
on topics that don�t fit.
Making metaphors from technology,
headstrong and on
we�re just squeaking by on our instincts
most of the time.
hoping to not be caught in out underwear
on highways without exit ramps made of ash
where the ones we loved
are so long gone the wind has forgotten them.
like always.
and i've had one or two like that
once or twice upona time
on this in-and-around planet
and all of them were as beautiful
as crab-cakes in maine cafes.
