oh, i made arrangements
with the harpsichord songs in my mind
to quiet down long enough
to let me rest, a horse-drawn cart whittles by
and i am asleep without noticing

what it takes is little-to-no knowledge of love
or falling, though i need a bit of both from time
to time. i think you'll find a broken bone life
when you reach the end of me
but laughs (oh, the laughs) go from the shot one to
final frame.
