i wrote the great american novel but someone took my name off the cover

let me tell you about this thing the other day that was was was something to talk about to say the least or most i dont care anymore.

first i'll say i found my way to cd world and stabbed a dollar bill or two into the mind of my cd player. it runs like new on new things. most things are best when they're new. if that's oh so terrible true why do i want an old time thing and old love affair decadent and dramatic to comic book proportions. that's the way i was thinking it should be anyway. tell me what you want.

so i got the first murder city devils lp (self titled), modest mouse's lonesome crowded west (life destroyed mine, lost it, it was gone is the thing), and built to spill's caustic resin. i know all three pretty well but am glad to have them. i can hear some things a million ways a million days and still be warm for supper without whiskey.

the people at the place always glance sideways upside downinsh at me. all and all a good place. have trouble categorizing (i.e. i found don caballeros under emo) but they have good taste on the whole as told by the electric kool aid record store test: they had six spacemen three albums not counting perfect perscription but including "taking drugs to make music to take drugs to". it's always a good store that's heard of them let alone listened to it or bought it from some schmoe. some of them were even new. so overall i like the place, but i have been in a mood of late that only allows for certain types of songs to be played at maximum volume in minumum light so that's what i've bought. anyways they look funny at me too bad for them for me for anyone else that might be around. they usually give me a few extra stamps on the buy ten get one free card so that's good. i have a full card for next time i go in. i could have used it tonight, but i wanted to save it for when i was really desperate for something new you know how it goes.

ho hum enough raving it was fun i liked it i'd do it again tommorrow probably will only without the money to spend. my music should be coming in from polyvinyl any day now alongwith my braid documentary. thank god, the thrill is not gone.

sleep well.
