everything i need to know i learned from watching Felicity

this is something my brother wrote but it's so damn badass i had to post it.

Everything I Ever Needed to Know, I Learned from Felicity

1. Really cute, perky, smart girls don't ever have their first boyfriends until college.

2. The people you meet the first week of college will be the only ones you'll date or be friends with your entire freshman year.

3. A part time job at a coffee house and a 9-hr per week work study job are enough to pay for living in Manhattan.

4. If you stalk someone all the way across the country, he will soon get over it and become your close friend.

5. Seriously traumatic events, such as robbery at gunpoint or date rape, don't really bother you after a few weeks.

6. Music majors with no interest or knowledge of architecture can easily get internships at big architecture firms.

7. Resident Advisors have all power on their hall, unless one of the residents is blackmailing the RA.

8. Corollary to #7 -- if you have blackmail material on your RA, you can do anything you want in your room, including lighting grills, welding metal, installing satellite dishes, and running businesses out of your dorm room.

9. Freshman dorms in Manhattan are big enough for three people in other colleges.

10. All freshmen get massive, single-user dorm rooms, regardless of financial aid status.

11. Macs are cooler than PCs. If your girlfriend says otherwise, it's the final straw, and you should break up with her. (even if she's Jennifer Garner)

12. Your parents never want you to come home during the holidays, unless they are overbearing and overcontrolling.

13. If you tell a highly-respected professor that he's talking nonsense and that you don't want to study his topic, he'll still accept you into his ultra-competitive seminar.

14. Colleges provide therapists (called "counsellors") for all freshmen, with whom they meet on a weekly basis.

15. You can still own a massive Manhattan loft even if you have no job -- just a string of unsuccessful business ideas.
