when it was bad

when it was bad i turned sideways the other pillow on my bed (double bed) and and slept with my arms wrapped around it. that made it easier than not sleeping at all (i didn't too many times) and then i was able to close my eyes and not know what i didn't want to know.

god, some nights it was just like you (i swear i could smell your perfume on the pillows).

when it was bad, i could squeeze extra tight and imagine you squeeling in your sleep saying "i'm trying to sleep, i'm trying to sleep. i'm trying to sleep." and not think about you rolling your eyes to me to let slip "i'm trying to ruin your life."
