tonight we're the sea and the rhythm there

mia took pictures, and i moved (barely) between songs to make sure i was still alive. i needed to know for certain that i hadn't been dropped into some strange dimension with all the trappings and likenessess of modern society but filled with the gentle gloom of samuel beam.

the audience seemed misshaped, ill-placed. they were a rock crowd, screaming, yelling, the room felt broken on our end. but he was clear and coming through: a casual lo-fi prince of the here and gone hours: we are better for just having been there.
